I cannot imagine life without our friends. They are the reason for the laughs and smiles that we put in our faces. They are the reason for the things that we discover in ourselves. They give time and attention to our sentiments and by that, we can then say whether they are true to us or not. True friends are one of the many God’s gift to us and we should treasure that gift every moment.
For me, friends are my second family, my second home. No matter how much we deny it, we are a different person when we are hanging out with friends and a different person with our family.
With our friends, we can be all out. Behave the way we want, imagining life without limits. It makes you happy being with your family but there is something that is in our friends that cannot be supplied with our family members.
Friends are there to fulfill the need for social interaction. But as time goes by, they become family and sometimes more than family. They are not chosen but they come to our lives unexpectedly and they can’t be replaced by money. They are irreplaceable.
The more the merrier they say, but according to my sociology class, the greater number a group comprises, the lesser the bond becomes. Thus, it is not necessary for us to have a hundred friends. What is the use of a hundred friends when 70 of them say bad stuff about you. I’d rather have 4 or 5 friends. At least I know that they are true to me, they care for my well-being and they love me as for who I am. So knowing that you can trust a handful of people that will be there all throughout is an amazing feeling.
True friends are the ones who you can rely into, and treat each other like family and become best friends forever. And like family, we should appreciate them while they are here with us. Make them feel they are loved and they are important. Making them feel that way makes your relationship stronger and the bond becomes tighter. In that way, you can minimize the small petty fights in the group. There should be understanding, patience and time for all the members in your circle. We all have one person that we might love the most but there should be fair treatment to all. As a result we can be able to communicate with everyone the way it should be.
