The Unique Way Frog's Capture Their Prey

Frogs have a secret weapon. Spit.

Frogs are lightning fast at capturing prey and it’s all thanks to their unique spit when a frog lashes out, its spit transforms. Normally, frog spit is thick like honey but it attack mode, the spit liquefies.

When the watery tongue makes contact with its prey that liquid covers the insect. And then quickly changes back to its sticky form – locking the prey in for the return trip. Notice how frogs close their eyes. That’s because the sticky spit makes swallowing difficult.

So, a frog will push the eyeballs back into its head. The force from the eyeballs re-liquefies the spit enable the frog to swallow its medal.
