Introducing Myself: PirateShipps, Travel & Frugality enthusiast

Hello Steemit, travel, frugality, and frugal travel enthusiast checking in. Been on Youtube for about 10 years now but never had the courage to create content on the platform due to the general level of fuckery that happens not only between Yotube and it's creators, but between other creators as well. When I learned about Steemit and Dtube, I became really intrigued, not because of the new craze surrounding blockchain technology, rather that this platform is truly community driven unlike Youtube where most promoted content is not palpable.

I became interested in Travel and Frugality at around the same time, in 2015, when I graduated from college with 35k in student loan debt and took my first trip around Europe, which lasted 5 weeks. Since then, I have been fixated on one goal: To see as much of the world as humanly possible on a budget. Now that I have my student loans paid off through the power of a well executed plan, the only thing to do now is travel!

On this platform, I hope to create content that helps others realize that budgeting for travel is more of just an afterthought. I want to help cut down on the consumerism that swallows most of us whole and spits us back out into a meaningless pile of debt. I hope you'll join me and enjoy everything this world has to offer!
