Undoubtedly, waste and fruit and vegetable skins make up most of the waste in our kitchen bin.
In addition to placing food waste in the wet bin for proper recycling and processing, we can also learn how to reuse it at home to prepare kitchen deodorants, household cleaners and, why not, beauty products and treatments for our skin.

The fruit and vegetable skins are rich in antioxidants and compounds beneficial to our health and our skin; the only precaution is to buy only chemically untreated fruit and vegetables to make sure you don't come into contact with pesticides and aggressive substances.

Here's how to use fruit and vegetable waste to prepare very efficient and fragrant beauty treatments:
The skins of the apple, lemon and banana can be used to prepare whitening and illuminating facial masks; grate the skins to obtain a fine powder, add 2 teaspoons of yogurt and 1 teaspoons of honey, mix and apply on the face; leave in a 20 minute pose and then rinse with warm water.
The lemon peel can be used to whiten teeth and dark spots of the skin thanks to its high citric acid content: rub the inner white part of the skin on the teeth, after washing them, a couple of times a week; rub the lemon skin on the spots and small wrinkles for a few minutes, preferably in the evening before going to sleep: the acidity of the lemon will lower the skin's ph then act as a whitening and energizing tonic.

The skins and waste of the potatoes can be very useful in case of fragile and weak hair: put the peels and waste of the potato in the blender with a little water, blend and pour the compound to obtain only the liquid part of the mixture; pour on the hair, massage the scalp and lengths for a long period of time, leave it in a 20 minute pose and proceed with the usual washing. The potato skins also serve to reduce bags and dark circles, just put the potato waste in a freezer for half an hour and then place it on your eyes for about 15 minutes.

We can prepare a body scrub with banana peels and cane sugar: sprinkle the inner part of the banana peel with sugar and rub it all over the body for a few minutes with circular movements or from bottom to top. Resume some sugar if necessary and rinse with fresh water.

The skin of the avocado is rich in nutrients and moisturizers, so for a moisturising plus it will be enough to massage the face with the inner part of the skin; the same thing can be done with the skin of the banana which, in addition to nourishing and moisturizing, will also help to make the skin more relaxed and radiant.
Pumpkin is a concentrate of vitamins and minerals that can improve the appearance of our skin giving elasticity and nourishment. We take the pumpkin skins and recover all remaining pulp residues attached to the skin, whisk to obtain a puree: mix 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree with? tablespoon of honey and? tablespoon of milk, apply on the clean face, leave for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.
