What's in your melon?

Do you ever wonder what is actually in your food? I do! Partly the reason I have switched my diet. There have been so many articles on how manufacturers are filling our food with water weight so they make more money. I watched a video on them injecting chicken body parts with water to make them bigger. At least it is only water, but what a waste of money. I did not expect this once I switched to fruits and veggies. Boy was I ever wrong!

Just yesterday we went to the grocery store and purchased a few fruits and vegetables. We usually go to the local farmers market but we ran out of a few things and the market is only open twice a week. While we were shopping we seen that watermelon was on sale. We decided to get one since this is not something we can get at the market and they have been super expensive lately. BIG MISTAKE!

This watermelon was horrible. It has zero flavour. Plus it has a weird slimy texture. We tried to eat a few pieces since we paid for it. That did not go so well. I only managed to get one piece down. Horrible, absolutely horrible. We decided it was garbage and we must of got a bad one. Well, I didnt get to throwing it in the composte bag yet. I could not believe my eyes. Half the container was water! Now I know water melon is pretty juicy and usually has a bunch of fluids. This was straight up water. It was clear and no watermelon flavour! I was stunned, not only are the over charging for them but they are filling them with water. Truly ruined the taste!

What do you think? Do you think they injected it with water? Or just a bad melon? Let me know in the comments!

I can agree to you as far chicken is concerned but about watermelon this couldn't be the case.
Do you know watermelon naturally is 90% water and this is best fruit to complete water deficiency in body.
If we talk about tasteless, the more red the watermelon inside, more it will be sweeter and delicious. However, merchants inject the watermelons with red color in places where people use to buy in pieces.
In my country, we check whether the watermelon is red from inside before buying and here I witnessed such things like injecting with red colors so that they could sell tasteless watermelons by defeating customers.

Very possible, i have just never in my life seen one put out sooo much before, it is very strange.

Possibly. Better luck next time.

The only thing I want my melons injected with is Vodka.

Now that sounds like a great melon!

Try it, it works pretty good!

It also keeps the kids quiet.

Sometimes if the melons are just a bit to ripe they taste awfull. Might have been the case and just unlucky.

Very possible!
