Me too, I really really like this fruit. This time it's very cheap here in the Philippines. But when it's off season, you can barely find it in the market.

I havent eaten Marang/Cempedak for more than 10 years now 😫 No Asian shops import them to Canada, and whenever I fly home to Indonesia, it was always out of season 😫

Same feeling when I stayed in Saudi Arabia for 8 years. Haven't eaten this for a long time too.😅
It's hard to import this fruit because it easily gets ripe.

Indeed. So differ to durian that could be frozen even with the skin
Do you cook the marang/cempedak skin? We have some dishes using the fermented skin. So good too 😋

I haven't tried cooking the skin. Only the seeds. I just dry them under the sun for 2 days, then fry with small amount of oil and salt. Tastes like peanut.

Yes we eat the seeds too. I posted the "recipe" on my steemit awhile back. We normally boil them in salted water 😁 i heard some Westerners who are vegans, would bake them
