Sam Bankman-Fried has been arrested in the Bahamas. The US is expected to be asking for his swift extradition. Perhaps the legal system just needed the time to build their case against SBF. All of the evidence made public thus far is pretty damning. To call it anything but fraud would be an exaggeration, but the lawyers do need time to get everything in order.
SBF last tweeted three days ago, speaking to an upcoming testimony he was set to give and again apologizing to everyone. Many have said he has just been "playing stupid," perhaps so. But with today's arrest, the jig is up. US Southern District of New York apparently has a sealed indictment on SBF and will give us more information tomorrow morning.
