So long and thanks for all the fish.

There will be a hundred more blockchain based forums and they will learn from the errors in the design here that leads to a situation where a user can contribute nothing but pompous comments and mostly insults, and then chases you down to lay another big manly smackdown with mother insults.

It's not about the of course uncertain outcome of putting a lot of effort into something that nobody wants to buy. That was already expected, I am not some teenage kid with starry eyes, I have been around the block.

It was the discovery that people who don't generate content have more power than the contributors, those who stand about dispensing their empty opinions, and even engage in your mother shit-throwing games, still have any respect from anyone.

That is a reflection on those who have been in here the longest, as well as the failure of the developers to apply changes that take the power away from such non-contributors.

Adios. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Troll.

You can all see the full history here on steemd.com where it's plain as day he got upset because I removed my vote from one of his posts. Too bad, so sad. It's my vote to do as I wish.

P.S. - Here's this terrible "mother shit-throwing" it's referring to. Someone a little sensitive maybe?

"You are by far one of the biggest cry babies I've seen on Steemit so far. Congratulations! Now go cry to your mommy, none of us give a shit."

Lol is he just downvoting everything you post, as revenge? That's silly.

Yea, two can play at that game.

Flagging your comments for the exact reason you flagged mine.

@berniesanders love you!! You are the man!!! Standing up and won't back down! Are you the real Bernie Sanders????

good for you. i hope you have healed the bleeding wound that is your ego in this.

so i guess it was you who pushed my rep score down to 10. well, I'm just gonna keep working to raise it back up. it doesn't even matter. i'm not making money curating like you are. i am building something that will, as a matter of priority, make it possible for anyone to make posters like you disappear from their screen.

so i don't need to prance around and pose and act like a little 12 year old boy. i actually care about this platform and that's also why i don't like you.

You're more acting like a spoiled brat. And seriously, that comment is pretty ironic, have you seen who he's impersonating?

  • You don't have the right to shit. You aint some special snowflake, that can boss other people around. Again pretty ironic right, with the guy bernie is impersonating? :D

Why haven't you left the site yet, and made your own? There you can do what ever the fuck you want.

a spoiled brat thinks everyone wants to watch the same channel as they do.

and it's not your site, it's a public blockchain, just so we are clear.

a spoiled brat thinks everyone wants to watch the same channel as they do.

And a spolied brat, thinks he can just magically make something public go away.

and it's not your site, it's a public blockchain, just so we are clear.

Exactly, read my responce above. Only a spoiled brat, thinks he have anything to say, on what's public for everyone to see. Don't want to see it? Look the fuck away.

Imho you have no idea how hard it is to have that responsibility (and yes, I know, they get rewarded...). @berniesanders could just sit back and let his bot work, but instead he cares for the network and works for it. Not that I agree with everything he does, but I still appreciate his effort very much.

Just so we are clear, the only bot I run is a bot to vote with my few accounts together. I do not use a bot to determine who or what to vote for, that is 100% manual.

Wait I can set up a bot to do that?

Sure, just have it watch for an account to vote and follow with the rest...

Sounds easy enough lol, visualizing the code in my head now. But do you use a bot you attained elseware or write your own?

yep, 'follow with the rest'. critics are a dime a dozen. artists have this thing called courage. you might benefit from looking into this.

how do you think bernie got his big position here? it wasn't from his posts. why 450something people follow someone who never puts a post into their feed page is beyond me. no, actually it's not. it's a circle jerk.

@d3nv3r: without people putting original content on here and doing work to support the development of the community, there is nothing to put money into in the first place. Just cos you have a lot of money doesn't mean you get a pass for acting the way he does. Nor does it automatically grant you the fawning worship of other people, who quite clearly like him only because of his money.

I don't care how many or how few people follow me or vote for me. I want to add something to this and make this place better. I also don't think that focusing on the rewards benefits the system at all either. There is too many people and too many attempting to game the system. If this is a place where a lot of creators come to put their work out there, it brings an audience with it who will pay. One little whale does not count in the bigger picture.

Ok Mr. Bum-Hurt, Ill take a minute to explain.... Without people like @berniesanders who invested their bitcoin or eth to buy into the system the artists and writers on here providing content would get loads of up-votes worth next to nothing. Get it yet @l0k1? This system requires whales in order to have the "lottery effect" that is currently drawing loads of new users and content providers.

And I sincerely thank you for manual curation. It might not be the most time efficient or make the most money for you, but the human touch is appreciated!

Aww. The poor diddums. Actually, have you looked at bernie's blog? He seems like a creative powerhouse to me. I should give him credit for all the original work he does and respect him. In precise proportion with how much opining he does versus putting stuff out there to be opined on. Apart from his opinions.

lotta people frustrated. i am one.

my latest bone to pick is that is so damn hard to become part of a community. right now, it's one big community and everyone's trying to be a part of that one instead of forming smaller but viable communities.

Come join steemit.chat. There are tons of smaller chat rooms in there, bound to find one that interests you to join.

The thing about my particular issue, and the one you mention here, is exactly rooted in the same thing. We are all stuck with an interface that does not allow the development of proper compartments. Reddit has Subreddits. Facebook has groups and pages. What does Steemit have? No block function, and no groups. These are not blockchain related issues either. The block function is simply not properly implemented, in fact the grey-out effect is insultingly highlighting the people you mute, and the addition of groups is a static database system.

With an effective mute function it wouldn't matter if there were trolls in a group. Those who don't mind them can see them, and those who do, can't. Ultimately if someone can't stand seeing your text show up on their screen you, or them, will probably leave the group at some point anyway.

I am no spring chicken when it comes to forums, and it is precisely the domination of discussions by the lowest common denominator and a lack of freedom of association that tends to drive people away.

If nothing is done about it, the trolls will dominate the system and eventually everyone will leave.

By the way, there is nothing stopping someone from creating a name blockchain for steemit groups, I don't know about how it would be certified but it is a first-come-first-served basis thing. If the main site won't implement them, that doesn't stop third parties from developing apps that use this name database, and attaching join/leave data signed by the users keys. Once I have a basic interface implemented, I am going to start casting about for people to work out a way to do this. I figure it'll more or less be a port of namecoin with membership entries added.

Just add a special character attached to one of the generous 5 tags associated with groups and people on the site can filter for groups as well as this automatically attaching to groups.

The Steemit platform is great, and the devs are tied up in their own specifics to do with the core of the system. There is no reason why it cannot have more layers added by other people. It only adds to the system as a whole and doesn't even have to be integrated anyway. Beyond such as I mentioned, having special tags to link posts into these proposed groups.

i had no idea anyone responded to my comment. How are we supposed to have a conversation?

I you speak italian, welcome. We are about 4 people right now.

oh and the stupid wait 22 minutes and 7 seconds before you upvote something because we cant figure out how to put bots in their right place.

Well, what is the exact point to upvote something already upvoted by dozens of bots?

so human beings trying to enjoy a post need to put on a timer in order to maximize their earnings? steemit is more work than actual productive work. it's a chore to navigate the site and the content isnt engaging enough to compensate for the clunkiness.

As much as I know, a sidechain for Russian content is going to be introduced soon. Let's see how they will work it out, I hope they'll fix all the bugs before launch.

I kinda thought it would be an interesting post, with that Hitchhiker's reference.

  • Sadly I were dissapointed. Where's the actually point?

Turns out it was not the end of the story. After that was "Mostly Harmless"

Oh, I didn't know there was another book after the two Dirk Gently books. Salmon of Doubt. I am going to have to buy that for my kindle account. I thought I had read everything from him. Yes, including his Dr Who stories. Those were the best written in the entire history of that series, and I will say that stands still. The best thing was that they were played in the TV version by the best Doctor as well.

hah. wow, look at my rep. i'm gonna go and cry in the corner now. i am so devastated. NOT.

really, guys. playing games is not cool. you might get your kicks for a few minutes but this kind of malicious, teenage bullshit won't work out well for you in the long run.
