For years i've been a big photography hobbyist and on my travels my Canon full frame camera was always attached to my body like an arm or a leg. But my days of lugging around a big dslr and big heavy lenses are a thing of the past not to mention my professional heavy and sturdy tripod. These days i prefer the modern mirrorless cameras which are significantly smaller and lighter, from the likes of Sony, Olympus and especially Fujifilm who are creating retro looking designs and functioning abilities of the old school film cameras, which makes them a joy to handle and involve you so much more in the process of taking those fabulous photos.
Fuji X-T2
It comes with two choices of bodies, an all black version or one with part silver graphite body. Unfortunately it's not a full frame but an APS-C camera which means it has a smaller sensor and magnifies the view by approximately 1.5 times compared to a full frame sensor but don't let this detract you from using one it's a professional machine and very worthy. This is not a simple point and shoot camera so it's for people who know how to use a camera in automatic, aperture, shutter speed or manual modes. What makes this camera so much fun to use is the ease of changing the settings you want without going into the menu inside the camera. All you need to do is turn the dials on the top so easily at hand then you're ready to go, such as ISO level, shutter speed and aperture, the viewfinder is electronic so you see what the photo will look like every time you change your setting in real time. A neat feature is the electronic viewfinder which enables complete silent shooting, so you can be unnoticed as your snap away without gathering attention.
So the specifications are mirrorless , 24.3 MP producing quality crisp photos, an APS-C Sensor, a 3″ tilting LCD Screen enabling you to take photos in difficult positions without having to struggle looking through a fixed screen, 8 fps (frames per second) continuous shooting so you don't miss the shot you want, it has a weather sealed body so you don't have to dash inside when it's raining but i wouldn't advise any camera to be constantly used in adverse weather cnditions and braving the elements. Weather sealing doesn't mean you can go to the depths of the ocean, just use common sense. It has high ISO to 51200, enabling to take photos in darker situations just by bumping up the ISO also if featuring 4K video which is a must for some and Built-In Wifi for quick access to social media or whatever means you want to show off your photos online.
This is a serious camera for the enthusiast or the professional photographer, very light and compact, fujifilm lenses are of great quality and produce stunning images, they're also light and smaller than the typical dslr type lenses, great for the traveler and two camera lenses that will fit into a small camera bag for comfortable wearing as you travel around on your holiday or excursion. After a hour or two you will appreciate the lightness compared to a big dslr and accompanying behemoths of their telephoto lenses. The price in the U.S is around $1,899.00 including the kit lens fujifilm 18-55mm which is a very good lens and this combination should be quite adequate for most travelers.

Indeed! It's on my to buy list when i have the funds, can easily fit in a small bag with fuji's rather smaller lenses than the usual dslr lenses that take up so much space.

No doubt that the Fuji XT2 is a great little camera, especially for travel. Do you have a decent XT2 gimbal in your kit or do you prefer handheld?
