Summer Escapade 2016

Summer is the most awaited season for everyone and for student like me. It is the time of the year that everyone gets excited. It is the time that students can spend their long vacation. And a time for adventure and a time to have a family bonding.

Last summer 2016 was the best summer that I ever had. I’d been to places where I never been before. And I had so much fun exploring different places here in Cebu and even exploring some places in Bohol. The first destination that I had was in Temple of Leah in Brgy. Busay, Lahug, Cebu city. Together with my friends, we saw different work of arts especially Roman architectures. We enjoyed spectacular view of the city especially in the early night time and even the warmth of the place.

As you approach the temple, you will be in awe of the gigantic gold lions at each side of the stairs leading to the entrance. As you enter the doors of the building, the grand staircase will leave your mouth hanging. And those are the things that we experienced exploring the temple.

The next stop was in Bantayan Island, Cebu. We had so much fun spending our summer outing there together with our department heads and co- working scholars of other department.

When you arrive at the beach club, the white sugary-like sand and the blueish-green ocean will start calling you for a swim. And not just the beach itself we enjoyed but also the sea foods that they served. But it’s not yet the end of my summer escapade, as we continued our summer outing in Bohol, Philippines.

One of the awaited timed for us working scholars is our summer outing in our department. And last summer was an amazing summer as we spent it in Bohol. The province of Bohol was indeed a wonderful place to stay with; as we took our journey seeing those beautiful sceneries that we enjoyed so much. Seeing for the first time of the chocolate hills and eating in the floating restaurant in Luboc, was just amazing.

Lastly, was our summer outing in Saavedra Beach, Moalboal, Cebu, together with the whole family. It was one of the most memorable experienced that I had. Together we enjoyed the beautiful white sand of the beach that feels like a mini Boracay in the south. But the best part was that we enjoyed not just the scenery but also we did enjoy the moment we spent together.
