Night Out - Concert at Microsoft Theater in LA

My wife and I were able to get a much needed night out last weekend. Two kids under 3 years old is always a lot of work, and we have been battling sicknesses the first 4 weeks of 2018, so this was a great change of pace.

My wife picked up some box seats to a concert at the Microsoft Theater in LA to see Justin Moore, a country artist I enjoy, as a birthday present for me. This was my first time being at the Microsoft Theater venue, and I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and venue. The acoustics were great and the venue is big enough to attract decent musicians/shows, but small enough that you don’t feel like you need binoculars to see the performers as you do in the big stadiums. If you have a chance to see something there, I recommend it.

Parking is always a challenge in downtown LA – it is crowded and the spots are too small for my truck. We decided to splurge and park right next to the venue in a structure (at a cost of $30 😝) and I was pleasantly surprised when they pointed me a different direction in the structure and I got to park in extra-large spots where all the other trucks were parked! Nice!

We had a great night, but I can’t say the same for my wife’s parents who were generously watching the kids, as they ended up getting sick with the cold and sore throat our family has been battling… sorry! 🤷‍♂️

I hope all my Steemit friends had a great weekend as well!

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Cheers.

That's awesome! Glad you could get out and enjoy the concert. And I totally agree with you. The Microsoft Theater is a fantastic venue. I haven't seen a concert there, but I've been to the Emmy Awards which they hold there since it was built. And you're right, for a big venue, it really does feel surprisingly intimate.

I listen to Justin Moore on the radio when I'm just driving around. How was he in concert?
I have a truck as well and it can be a pain to get into parking garage spaces. Well, it can be a pain to get into regular spaces sometimes, especially if people don't park correctly next to you. At least your $30 got you a primo spot!

He was pretty good live... I would say he puts on a good show! Cheers to you my friend!

yes you are made for each other and congratulation for the great weekend. You both have spend a beautiful quality time together. Thanks to share your beautiful moments with us @brian.rrr. god bless you.nice post upvoted and resteemed

That sounds like a fun deserved night out! Kinda sad for your wife's parents... Hope they get well soon!

Sounds like you guys deserved the night out! That theatre looks incredible, I've never seen it before (or possibly I have without knowing what it was!), what a place for a gig! Sounds like it's colds all across the world at the moment, my wife and I are just getting over one too!

What good and congratulations for this break from the routine, which is always fair and necessary to maintain that moment of intimacy and share as a couple, we always focus on the obligations and needs of children who end up neglecting that part of a couple! Congratulations and excellent for you and your wife!

Wow ! Night out and concert ... this is interesting !! Hope you guys had enjoyed there !!
