The Day; The Eggs Stood On End

in fun •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hey There,

Were you buried in eggs yesterday? My feed had eggs everywhere! Adults and kids alike got their eggs to stand on end and proudly posted pictures of their accomplishments. According to the Chinese, this is the one day in the year you are able to do this. The day is the first day of spring also known as Lichun Day.

It's a day, where day and night is equally balanced, light for 12 hours and darkness for 12 hours. And this creates alignment on the planet allowing the eggs to stand on end, or so the story goes (we are going to try on another day to see if the eggs will do the same). Did we manage to do it? You will see in the video.

Side Note: Lichun day is believed to be a very auspicious day, and if you were to deposit money on this day, you will be blessed with abundance all year. So if you had gone to the bank yesterday, well more like the ATM since it was a Sunday, you would have seen a loooooonnnnnggggg queue .... and if you weren't sure what was going on.. now you know...
