This weekend, my friends and I decided to drive up to Tahoe to Ski. I am always so grateful to live so close to such an amazing place. It take about 2 hours to drive from Sacramento to Tahoe. When I lived in Texas, the closest mountains were an 9 hour drive to New Mexico. This is my third season skiing, and every year I can see myself improving. I love challenging sports that push you to be better, while also having a ton of fun.
It's been a while since I have visited Tahoe, and the view is just breathtaking. The lake is so clear and it looks so magical with the white fluffy snow kissing the tops of the trees. It was a pretty good ski day considering it is only the beginning of Ski season and there was 5 inches of new snow for the week. I ended up skiing at the Kirkwood resort (my all time favorite resort in Tahoe).
When we got up to the resort, I was in for a surprise. I was standing in line to grab tickets for our friends, when I ran into ,George and Kubi, my friends from the UK! What are the chances right? It seems to me that I have had many coincidences in running into awesome people. Just the other week I ran into @ballinconcious and @danilamarilu at a Dallas acro jam.
(Fun fact about George and Kubi: They are biking from Alaska to Argentina. So far they have biked from Alaska to California. Their bike ride is to raise money for a stroke charity.)
Skiing is a lot of fun, but it even more fun with good company. Here is a photo of me and the crew!

I used to live in South Lake Tahoe so I was able to spend all winter at all the ski fields
