This was an excellent time!
Taking advantage of the opportunity of having our own land and woods, we recently set up a tent and enjoyed just over a week of camping on our land. I purchased a new tent for the adventure and had fun teaching the @little-peppers to set it up and prepare the fire as well.
The tent was a yurt-shaped one, that worked out really well for us. I'm even thinking of building a small, wooden yurt-shaped cabin in the spot that we camped out. It's back in the woods a bit, but I think it would work great.
The @little-peppers enjoyed helping out which you can see in the video. We like to teach and train them every day, and to make sure that they are gaining skills and understanding. A lot of things around here become rather easy becasue we have so many willing hands ready to help out, and this adventure was no different.
The @little-peppers even helped build a fire pit and get the wood ready for our week. As you can see from the photo above, they were eager for me to light it. LOL!
Our time in the tent is over now, and @brianphobos even got to use it after we were done, but I'm just getting around to editing the video now. It was a wonderful time with some great campfires and dutch oven meals, and many excellent family memories were made.

I love camping! It's more like glamping for me now-a-days though. If it counts for anything I used to like to sleep out in the desert in a bedroll on motorcycle trips - no tent needed. (and drink water out of a muddy hoof print, lol - just kidding, I never did the water thing like a Texas Ranger)

It is true, many hands make light work. I still love camping, even though I have been camping almost every day since May. I have it down to a science now and so do the kids. The site we are in now has electricity, so, we feel like camping kings. I even put our computer in our pop-up so we could watch Netflix and dvds. Spoiled lol. Thanks @papa-pepper!

Watching you guys put the tent up was pretty special - it's not every dad who can get a camp set up with his flock of little ones and I bet your wife really appreciated your diligence in getting everything so carefully prepared. Having the time to clear rocks and sticks and prepare the ground really makes a big difference in a good camp!
