LiveTree ADEPT: The Future Is TransparentsteemCreated with Sketch.

LiveTree’s ADEPT platform is a funding and crowdsourcing space that hopes to make some serious forays into the world of entertainment over the course of the next few years.

That said, every business needs a roadmap.

In today’s, article, we’ll be outlining the development of the ADEPT platform, as well as some of the business structures and budgetary questions most pertinent to our continued success.
The name of the game is transparency, and we’re ready to play.

Are you?
Let’s get started!

On The Question Of Governance

Even the best ideas need a structure to work around.

After all, without a scaffolding, how’s a building supposed to stand up straight?

In terms of structure, LiveTree’s made a conscious decision to pursue a non-profit community foundation structure. This falls in line with ADEPT’s overall philosophy, directing any funds generated back into Seed token distribution and, by association, the overall value of the platform.

It must be noted that this runs the risk of potentially poor reviews from financial regulators, as its plan to migrate to a DAO, the rules of which are still being regulated. Our plan to protect users in this regard is the formation of an open-governance community structure, where compliance and legal decisions are decided upon in a transparent system.
On the topic of transparency, LiveTree ADEPT’s internal workings will be made completely public. What this means is that the platform will operate in a completely visible and open capacity.

Internal governance rules will be posted for all to see, online. Profits from the incubators and ADEPT itself will be given back, publicly, to the community, and the Seed incentive program will operate similarly.

One aspect of our operation we’re very proud of is the ADEPT platform’s open source construction. With multiple abstract extension points allowing designers to approach their connection with the platform in their own unique ways, we’re already on our way to being entirely accessible. But development in this regard will really only stop when users can create bespoke contracts for their operation, whether that be distribution, funding, or content creation.

It should go without saying that partners will feature heavily in our further development of the system, as well. With strategic selection of partners, the aim is to benefit the economy and drive innovation. As growth occurs, continuous assessments and building partnerships will make the best use of traditional players and the blockchain, alike.

Financials

One of the biggest benefits of further development in a system like ADEPT, where operations are based on an established system, is that the financial operations already have some measure of outline to them.
It also leaves the backdoor open for opportunities to evolve the platform, along the way.

Investing in a new or developing platform can be a risky business, and we’re aware of that. To the end of promoting confidence in our platform, our first financial platform takes the form of a minimal viable product. We will establish the incubator program, first, making it viable by using pre-made content, and facilitate traditional IP contracts for sale. In addition to focusing the platform’s function on distribution contract trade, this will also generate engagement with the wider distribution community.

As mentioned, there is also room left in the financial plan for evolving the platform beyond its initial structure, and capturing the market share based on Blossom, our digital rights management system.

Incubators will serve as test chambers for any given network building we might consider, moving forward. As ADEPT begins to fit more into specific transactions, it will generate further revenue from these, in turn putting that money back into the Seed economy.

Our goal for Blossom, meanwhile, is to move it into position as a content distribution standard, alongside ADEPT for developing the content. We’ll actualize blossom’s potential through modernized video-on-demand distribution models. Together, ADEPT and Blossom will help to bring about a decentralized entertainment creation and distribution system, owned by the content makers, themselves.

Our cost expenditure models allow for more opportunity to invest in force multipliers like incubators, marketing, and incremental delivery as more funds are made available.

Seed funding for ADEPT development expenditure goes as high as 25% at a raise amount of $50 million, but for LiveTree Incubators, that number is 75%.

With ADEPT’s unique position as a meeting point between content creation, distribution, funding, and crowdfunding, it creates value, first and foremost, in film and arts. One positive to its broad reach, however, is that this platform has a lot to offer in fields like design, technology, crafts, dance, and even games.

Technical Architecture [75]

LiveTree ADEPT’s unique platform is made even more special by the fact that we’ve based its functionality off of the Ethereum blockchain. With each and every contract on the ADEPT system benefitting from the live Ethereum network, this is a cutting-edge system with a lot to offer.

Our approach, at present, is to work from LiveTree’s example, and base ADEPT’s platform and underlying services to open-source versions of LiveTree’s .NET stack architecture. We’ll make use of flexible tech, in order to identify and correct unpredictable problems efficiently.

In terms of technical resources, our developer community will certainly be central to our operation. We will, obviously, provide a core technical team, whom we’ve already chosen, to ensure delivery and assist user operations.

Regarding licensing, ADEPT’s licensing follows loosely set guidelines established within the open-source community, already, as its starting point. From there, users will be able to propose licensing to match their specific needs.

There are a few key considerations and logical components we’d like to mention, by way of a summary of the overall services of the platform.

ADEPT will provide smart contracts, with robust payment, storage and reporting capabilities.

The foundation for the platform will be based on the live Ethereum blockchain, and has already committed to working, wherever possible, with other blockchain projects within the community.

UPort will be used for identity management, and legal agreements will be made functional and easy to use, with a foundation in underlying ML/AI/blockchain technology.

Payments can be made via Stripe and ManfoPay for fiat-currency card authorizations, and DRMs are built on the back of Azure Media Services.

Crowdsourcing is an exciting new method of funding large-scale projects that might otherwise never see the light of day.

But it needs to be regulated.

As we’ve made clear today, LiveTree ADEPT’s entire operation adheres to a very strict set of boundaries, with a focus on transparency.
