Stories set in stone? What of it, stone is not eternal. On the other hand, a moment is still important. And there are some moments more important than others.
Because even long lasting things may have their
Expiration Date
The name of a project proposed by a Photoworld club in Bulgaria. And a project that I recognize as an opportunity to connect my other work on Bolyartsi project to the world.
Maybe it's too early to talk about this but we dream of putting a collective exhibition abroad and I think a story from Bolyartsi has a chance to fit the topic and make it to a place where it gains more popularity. One can dream, right. So, I am early sharing my hopes...
but also asking on your thoughts -
Would the following fit the topic above?
Memories have their expiration date, too. Some knowledge is passed from mouth to ears only and last time we visited Bolyartsi village we learned out of the two persons who knew old stories only one still lived. And he was old and had hard time hearing, as we also found out.
So we decided to take some action and record some of the stories... some of them known to others, of course, since he has been telling them all his life when there has been anyone to listen...
You may have seen the beginning of our work in previous News section updates.
But this one now is about showing the personification of the living memory which is old and fades away. Does it make sense to you?
Thanks for reading. We'll be happy to have your opinions. You can help our project by backing it now.
Yours,
Manol Donchev from PhotoAnthill
