Surthrival Trailer Mark 1 Update #12

I have a new update for the Surthrival Trailer!

Today I worked on mounting the 1" angle steel to the trailer which will be the attachment point for the solar panels to hinge to the trailer.

I rolled 12'&1/2" of buytl tape to the angle and cut the end of the tape with a regular pair of scissors.

I applied butyltape to the angle after the paint had dried for a few days.

I used a couple 2x4's to prop my angle piece up so I could position the angle and insert the first bolts to fasten to the trailer.

I peeled the backing off the butyl tape while the angle was close to its final position.

Here is the outside view of the mounted angle I used 2.5" 1/4-20 hex bolts with a 1" diameter washer on the outside of the trailer. I used vice grip pliers to hold the bolt on the outside of the trailer while using my crescent wrench to tighten the nuts on the inside of the trailer.

Here is the view from the inside of the trailer. I'm using 1" diameter 1/4" washers and 1/4" nylock to nuts fasten so they won't back out.
