Fundition: A Fundraising Campaign that aims to support baby Shawn's Shunt Surgery

For the past few days, I have been in a hurry to gather the target funds for baby Shawn's operation and medications. I always keep myself in touch with the family of the patient - asking for some updates and better feedback regarding baby Shawn's current condition.

Jemae told me that she's afraid that we might not be able to get the target funds of $5000 because we need more time for that. We have to make use of the time for which is our biggest enemy at the same time. So she approached a certain foundation for their concern about Shawn. Fortunately, better circumstances gave them the favor they ever wanted. She contacted the CURE Foundation established in the local area. It is a big foundation in the Philippines as a branch of Uganda CURE Foundation aiming to provide every child the opportunity of a better living including education, health, and protection.

So here's the good news!

The foundation offered a free operation for the baby including fees for the attending physicians and specialist. The offer will take Jemae on a long process because they have some guidelines to follow so we are making use with the available time that baby Shawn's condition is still bearable. As what I've updated last day that the shunt tool was successfully covered by the crowdfunded post and updates, the only concern now is to whether they take the ward being offered by the foundation and the hospital or they'll go to private one which is far by clean and well sanitized yet expensive. She also stated that some of the donated money was used to pay for some laboratory tests performed on Shawn. These tests were needed as requirements for Shawn's operation.
