This post is an update about our outreach efforts, to reach outside of steem to a new audience. We are starting this outreach effort to 1) reach new audience/customers for the vendors of Homesteaders Co-op and 2) to bring more folks to the steem blockchain via our Homesteaders Co-op Community.

Coincidentally our initial outreach efforts are coinciding with the new Fundition contest: Promote your project : contest period 1st March 19. - 15th March 19.

This post is our entry into the contest and it is also an update to our Homesteaders Co-op Fundition project.

Podcast Outreach

First I would like to recap the podcast interview I had with Ben of Homesteads and Homeschools, a website and podcast. Homesteads and Homeschools' primary audience is not on the steem blockchain. This interview was a good opportunity to send our message to a new audience. At the same time I had the opportunity to share what we homesteaders of steem appreciate about the steem platform.

The podcast episode was released on 3rd of March at Homesteads and Homeschools. I took the time to transcribe the interview so that we or anyone can use the material to share. Outreach Team - Social Media

Our new social media outreach efforts is being headed up by @porters, @diggndeeper.com and myself. I appreciate very much that @porters and @diggndeeper.com have volunteered to help out with our outreach efforts by offering their talents and time. It is gesture that they believe in our community and want to see it flourish. I believe their efforts will go a long way to help our community marketplace thrive.

I also appreciate that our community is taking on more responsibility as individuals and together; this is a prerequisite if we are to grow as a community marketplace. @porters and @diggndeeper.com have both gained my trust in this regard and I am more than happy to share the responsibility with them.

After setting our intention as a team, our first milestone was establishing 5 new social media accounts. Instagram

We set up an Instagram account and worked on getting some followers and and got 8 post with increasing engagement on each new post as our followers increased. Here's a short video showing our results from being active for 5 days on instagram promoting Homesteaders Co-op. This video also demonstrates engagement:

We created a Homesteaders coop Youtube channel and uploaded 2 promo videos for Homesteaders Coop with 11 views total over 3 days (see image for breakdown of views on videos)
