So sometime around August, I began to ponder on what I will do with my time after uni. Many people get stuck in a job or career they do not care about and it ends up rubbing them of the fulfillment that comes with doing what you love. And I thought to myself and came to the conclusion that I would really want to experience the life I have always dreamt of, a life of a creative writer living to his full potential, at least before I get stuck in a job I will hate for the rest of my life.
My first idea was a travel blog. I plan on visiting various states in my country, experiencing new people and cultures and also documenting these experiences. Another major reason behind this goal is to tell the Nigerian peoples' story, not the African story with is far too board for me to explore, at least for now. When the word 'Nigeria' pops up a whole cloud of negativity appears. I want to, in my own little way correct this perception and paint an honest picture of the Nigerian people. To do this I will need a camera and a decent laptop. Here are the ones I came across:
They should cost around $424 (that is a lot of money) :
Well, I'm trying to save up for them (I probably will be a minnow if I had that much) Thanks to @musing I have been earning nice upvotes so hopefully, I can at least get one of the two.
The other thing I want to work on is steem related and also it has to do with creative individuals. I have always wanted a hub where creative people can hang-out and share their work. Last year I was telling my friend about this lounge I would like to open called 'alcohpoetry' where spoken word poets, instrumentalists, and singers can gather together and perform whilst drinking a lot of alcohol. It is still a dream of mind but for now, I'm looking to create an online hub of creative Africans--Nigerians, something similar to what MSP has right now on discord but on a different level. I will not be limited to steemians but source for creative individuals from social platforms and bring them down to discord, where I will have my server. But there is also a catch. Asides creating a hub for creative individuals this will be an avenue to introduce them to steem and the crypto world through contests and live shows. I believe the steem blockchain can be a home for all creative artists. So I hope to create a niche for them whilst ushering them into the crypto world.
Like I said before I do not have the fund to pursue this project, so I have decided to start small. In a couple of days, I will be starting a blog with other creative individuals. Now, I noticed that a lot of creative individuals are struggling to find a niche for themselves. So I decided that instead of riding solo, I will work with other creative individuals and content producers to create a blog, combining our resources and ideas to push this blog. I have spoken to three to four persons (none of which are on the steem blockchain) and they buy the idea. So if this is a success, we can raise enough through our earnings on posts to purchase those gadgets and start the vlog. I have a friend in Canada who is a photographer and I am hoping she will be part of this project. As a Nigerian in diaspora she would be sharing not just her photos but the experiences of Nigerians outside Nigeria--that's my idea (hope she buys it though).
This project is centered around Africa, Nigeria to be precise. We have over 140 million Nigerians. If a quarter of these people are part of the steem ecosystem it will be great for the platform.
Well if you think this is a good idea and you would like to support then feel free to contact me. And it doesn't necessarily have to be financial support. Any idea I can incorporate into mine will be appreciated. I really want to do this.

ask for permission before trying to steal this idea. I'm nice.

Haha! I like this touch. After copious amounts of alcohol, I'm sure some interesting things would emerge!
I like your ideas and hope that you continue to work towards them. It could be slow going initially, but over time things grow. There have been some wonderful projects and ideas which have developed from the Steem community to include all social community, but some have fallen by the wayside as busy lives get in the way. Some continue to grow, however.
