Be Careful who you tell

in funny •  7 years ago

I have been involved with steemit for a bit know, and sometimes write about personal things. In those stories I have talked about neighbors, family members, and friends. I would never put something in writing I wouldn't say to someone in person, but I am limiting my stories now. I feel the more I tell, the less I can share. Oh-no-you-didnt-GIF.gif

I have a couple stories, that if I would write them, I know I would get this reaction. I want steemit to grow, but it was nice when I could just write what I want. Dang censorship, I have got a couple friends who randomly read what I write, and will text me about it. Kinda funny but I feel like the man is watching now.

Since when did you start referring to me as "The Man"? I kind of like it.

I referee to you as man with little m

Is "referee" the same as "refer", or are you wanting me to call fouls and penalties in sports games?

It’s so true. Everything you put here is etched in the blockchain forever. You can edit for a little while but eventually there are no take backs or redos. You never know who might find your post about whatever and use that against you. I remember when I first heard about people getting in trouble at work for things they had put on Facebook. It can be a “big brother” world sometimes. Not cool.

Ya, it is almost like reverse bullying, I can't put what I believe because it might not line up with your beliefs.

Ya, I kinda keep it anonymous, but I have some good ones that I can't put on, because they actually look at my posts.

Hey when I signed up to Steemit I had to create a facebook account. If I delete facebook wl that impact me on steemit?

What if you change your blog name, inorder to be safe.

can you change your blog name? I know you can change your "nickname on your home page" but they would find me.

Good post

Good. @bigram13

Just change the names to protect privacy, and generalize the stories a little to make more universal....?

Ha ha ha, better safe than sorry. You wouldn't want the block Christmas party to be weird. Good call on the self-censorship. :)

Bro i we around our relative, friends and neighbors. Socially we can only talk about them because we meet them daily and always something new happens.

You are right. Taking break is necessary to come back with new interesting topic.

Bro i like you line: The more i tell, the less i can share.

Hmmm interesting feelings... this platform is definitly gaining traction. And more peers are sure to join and begin reading... but hey, you're pretty anonymous right? Until you tell them your profile name?

Someone close to you huh..

I have showed some people my blog name..... AHHH

Hahah Good luck sir!

Make another profile in secret!

In today's world nothing seems personal if you are on social media. What ever information you provide on any platform can be easily seen, accessed, used for what ever purpose. So try not to publish or write things which are personal :)

Censor yourself ? No way change the names to protect the innocent.
