Some days I wonder, if I should have just got a job, that I can leave and go on vacation. Being in a family business, I feel work can follow you and you really have no vacation. For example, when you get to big, it is hard for my dad and me to go on a vacation at the same time. One of us is always flying in just for the weekend. 
I am also a guy who gets a little stir crazy on vacation, 4 to 5 days and I am ready to come home. I like to do things, so just sitting around is tough for me to do, and I can only take so much.

Another bad thing about a family business is that you and your father can not spend a vacation together. But you should always be aware of business, there will be small moments but where everyone will be together.

It is totally hard to leave your business and go and enjoy your vacation, but you are lucky to have your dad working with you so that you can trust someone when you are not there.
I am the same way, I can't really relax when I'm on a week or two weeks vacation since I am also a doer and just sitting and not doing house work etc. feels wrong.
