More political ball meme

Being civically engaged is not slavery. I pay taxes because that is part of the arrangement that comes with being a citizen of this country. If I am unhappy with the terms of that arrangement, I can vote and petition to have it changed, or I can move to a state or country that has a system that I feel is better suited to my needs.
I was in commission sales and ran my own marketing business during the Bush and Obama years. My earnings and quality of life were worlds better during the Obama years. My standard for measuring an administration's competence is how much money I make, and how many of my friends come back from deployment dead or injured. I'll take the relative peace and prosperity of the Obama years over the recession and war of the Bush years any day.
Lysander Spooner has been dead for 130 years. Why do Libertarians always have to bring up ancient history when discussing modern politics and economics? Could it be that their ideas are antiquated and out of date? I think so.

Yeah like I said you want government to hold your hand and have a skewed view of freedom. Why do socialist countries always starve.

Last time I checked, Canada wasn't starving. I know some fat and happy Canadians.
What exactly are you implying with the "hand-holding" narrative? Are you suggesting I am weak? I am one of the strongest people I know. I'm an army veteran, a lifetime MMA practitioner, and I am the first person my friends call when they need help moving furniture. I'm sorry the right-wing propaganda machine has you so afraid of the government that you won't even vote. Sounds like you are the one that needs someone to hold your hand.

Your wanna get really down to it I'm implying you are a brainwashed statist who is too god damn stupid to see the right and the left as the same thing. You ramble on about army and mma like really does every thing that isn't leftist babble go right over your head. People act like you and wonder why Trump got elected people are tired of the whiney progressive movement shutting down free speech. Try making some decisions with logic instead of based on your feels and maybe the rest of the country will stop making fun of you.

If you can't tell the difference between left and right, you are not paying attention. If you watch these guys slander, sue, imprison, and even murder each other, it's pretty obvious they are not on the same side.
Just because I acknowledge the state is a thing, doesn't mean that I am a statist.
I am a capitalist. I bought my steem power, and I am free to use it as I choose. If I want to use that power to flag a neo-nazi sympathizer, I am well within my right. Likewise, the owners of social media platforms are free to boot Nazis from their servers, and I'm glad they do.

Now as far as people making fun of liberals is concerned, I think you may be projecting there. The whole fucking world is making fun of Trumpists. The backlash from this catastrophe will be the election of a candidate so progressive it will make Obama look like Reagan by comparison. Enjoy your power while you have it. When the pendulum swings back, you guys are gonna get wiped out.

Both groups wish to impose their morality on people. When a boot is stepping on your face you don't really care if it's the left one or a right one. You aren't a statist because you acknowledge the state as a thing I'm very aware it's a thing you're a statist because you worship it you want it to push your progressive morality on others through force. If you support antifa you are no better than the Nazis groups and not seeing that is absolutely ridiculous. You're a capitalist a socialist man you don't know what the hell you got going on. Google voluntaryism

I know what voluntarism is. (I can even spell it correctly.) I went through an Ayn Rand/Ron Paul phase in my 20's, but then I read some books on economics and history, and determined that libertarianism/voluntarism is not competitive in a modern global economy. If you try to force such a system on a modern industrialized civilization, millions of people will suffer. That's what happens when you burn someone's house down and destroy what they have worked hard to build. You ruin their life.
I don't worship the state. As a politically active citizen, I am a part of the state. Those metaphoric boots you complain about are on my feet. They are not trying to step on you, but if you insist on getting under my feet while I am trying to get some work done, you might get kicked or stepped on. We are trying to build a future for our children, and you guys are trying to force us to tear it down and start over. We are even willing to give you some boots, because we believe people can not pull themselves up by their boot straps without first owning a fucking pair of boots! I am even volunteering my time to teach you how to lace them up and tie them.
So here I am, trying to explain how shoes work to a barefoot hillbilly that wants to burn my house down. That's how I see it.
OK, I exhausted the metaphor.
It is easier to destroy than it is to build. Simple people want a simple solution. Destroying everything civilization has worked for and starting over from the ashes is not a good idea, and those of you trying to force that idea on the rest of us are guilty of exactly what you accuse us of. The fact that right-wingers have taken up ranks with Nazis and Confederates is a pretty strong indicator of what is going on here.
The logical thing to do is stop trying to destroy society, and help us build on and improve what we have. We are not demanding you do that. It is quite voluntary. If you don't want to be part of modern society, you are free to go be Amish or whatever. Just stop trying to drag the rest of us back to the stone-age with you. We got shit to do.

You only think they are on your feet they've fed you that illusion when in reality in the eyes of the state you're no body. Just another vote and more tax dollars. Also you generalizing right wingers with Nazis and Confederates is the same as me saying all left wingers are commies which are no better than Nazis actually if you wanna go by body count commies killed way way more. Nazis are also socialist and Confederates were Democrats. Why don't you learn fucking history. Ancaps aren't trying to destroy anything only show people how incompetent government is and how unnecessary it is. We are showing you the door to freedom it's not our fault you turds on the left and the right can't get past your divide and conquer programming. That's why the left is out ripping down statues embarrassed of their own history .

I honestly don't know any communists. I haven't seen any communist flags at any left-wing rallies. I haven't seen any posters of Stalin or Mao at any meet-ups I have attended.
Who you are willing to associate with says a lot about who you are. When an ethical person discovers they are associating with unethical people, they must choose to break ties or compromise their integrity. That's why the more scrupulous members of the Republican party are distancing themselves from Trump. When he stated that there were some "very fine people" marching with Nazis in Charlottesville, politicians and CEOs started jumping ship and running for the exits.
I was big into the ancap scene, and I still have a lot of ancap friends. I have cut some of the nastier ones out of my life. I uninstalled TOR, and I don't go on the dark web any more. I would rather not associate myself with the drug dealers, gun dealers, and child pornographers that use the tech. I buy my marijuana from a legal dispensary now, because people in my state organized and voted it into law.
The confederate statues were put up during the civil rights struggle and Jim Crow years. They have nothing to do with heritage, and everything to do with the ongoing culture war between racists and minorities.
Let me put this in language a Trumpist can understand.
The Confederates lost. They are losers. They don't get a participation trophy. If you feel triggered, and need a safe space, you need to man up and stop playing the victim card. I don't like statues of people who lose wars, ok? I want a statue of a winner. Why don't we have a statue of Grant? We're gonna build a giant statue of Grant, and we're gonna make the south pay for it!
