Absolutely love cats, had two when I was a kid, 30-odd years ago. I'll never forget how every day they used to have what my mother called 'a mad half-hour'. They'd start twitching and then attack all life-forms in the house (even / especially each other, even though they were mother and daughter).
In all the time we had them (around 15 years), they didn't seem to damage much. They'd scratch their claws on a post (or a sofa, if we didn't stop them). And during those half-hours, they'd often run up and down the living room curtains so they soon started looking worse for wear. Other than that, they were quite adorable and I'll always remember them fondly.
