The Old Dog Offers: My Solution To Completing The Nordstrom Muddy Jean Look!

in funny •  7 years ago  (edited)

Nordstrom is now selling their ‘rugged Americana’ mud-stained jeans for $425

Here Is How They Describe This Fashion Statement!

“Rugged, Americana workwear that's seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty”.

They call this design “Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans” and they come complete with a fake mud substance plastered all over them.  Some areas of the jeans are covered in more of the brownish muck than others! Yum!

They're joking right? No sorry they're not and I'd like to cash in on people's stupidity!

I Offer The Following Accessories To Complete Your Look!

If you want these jeans and would really like to look like a working man just look what I've got for you!

Solution One:

A small container with dirt that you can shove under your finger nails! This little tub which retails for just $19.95 is filled with real dirt from various construction sites, farms and barnyards in real working class American towns! The little tubs are the perfect size to slip in the back pocket of your new jeans or the glove compartment of your car! You'll always be ready for that dirty working man look!

With this dirt under your nails you're bound to turn heads............. and stomachs!

Solution Two:

Of course a real working man finishes his day with that scruffy dirty hair look. For this we offer a practical solution with 3 different varieties. All three come in the same handy tub container and retail for the same low price of $19.95

With this stuff in your hair you'll look like you've been sloshing around the farm all day long!

  •  For those that want to simulate garden or farm work we offer a tub of shredded twigs and leaves. Just take a few pinches and sprinkle it on top of your head and you'll have all kinds of people admiring you for being such a rugged hard working man.

  • For the construction worker fantasist we've filled the little container with concrete dust. This white powder will  have you looking like you've just climbed down from some scaffolding on a windy day!

  • If you prefer to masquerade as a carpenter type how about a tub of our wood shavings and saw dust? We've had our suppliers put in real pine shavings which have been swept up from various furniture factories across our great nation. And don't forget with this stuff embedded in your hair you'll smell good too!

We Care About The Environment!

On your second order we'll send either the dirt, the wood shavings, the concrete dust or the shredded twigs and leaves in bulk 2 pound bags and you can fill the little tubs yourself. At just 29.95 per bag these represent real value for both you and the environment!

Free Tips Because Our Customers Are Important To Us!

  • Keep a little water with you and keep splashing the underarms of your shirt so it looks like you've been sweating!
  • Rub a little grease or petrol behind your ears. The smell will drive women wild!

What Do You Think?

  • Do you have any ideas for other accessories?
  • Will these jeans actually be big sellers?
  • Who would actually buy and wear these things?
  • Has the world really gone mad this time?

Ha ha ha! This is a big win for me dear brother. Thanks for the reward :)

LOL!!! Thanks for the great laugh! I'm still giggling...

I remember when jeans with rubbed off parts became popular, before the one that actually have holes came out. Both ideas go right along the line of this "new innovative style" and am not surprised to see it coming out as the previous styles have proven that, yes, there is a market for clothes of this fashion.

The world has gone mad a looooong time ago, but I surely would never buy such things myself. I love you suggestions as to what to do to improve or accompany the jeans. Priceless, unlike the jeans!

Namaste :)

Oh and don't forget the "bleach stained jeans"

Thanks for your experiences and sharing your comments!

I've seen this fashion before...
They call it..
Derelicte!

Yes you're right!

Go with the totally ridiculous trend! Raise your prices they're way too low. lol
As an accessory how about an Arizona red dirt shirt or hat?

Shirts $24.95 cheap at twice the price.

FUNNY! Thanks a lot!!!

You're welcome. This reminds me that we're getting to this point, or beyond;

Thank you @kus-knee. I continue to follow and will spread your fame far and wide :-D

Wow, first world products! lol. Well, I guess since 98% or the North American population does not want to get their hands dirty maybe there really is a market for these, smh.

It will be interesting to see!

$425 to look like shit? Fools and their money?

It's like Mary Antoinette pretending to work on a farm

Crazy world my friend!

I'll sell them my old jeans for half the price!

@kus-knee Ha ... Why pay? I can get such fashionable jeans at the construction site for free. =) My working form looks so ... It's funny.

Yes, very strange isn't it?

Really very strange.

Jeans...Jeans...I've got jeans for sale! Mine are only $295...Save- Save-Save!!! I spent most of my life as a fashion plate and didn't even know it!

Hey man, put them on line and give it a try!

Put them on??? I'm going to sell 'em! Unfortunately, they only come in one size!

And here I thought I had ruined my new Levi's by assisting my Son on his Car? I have been in the ceiling of the house for half the day with another pair, Any Offers?

From what I can see I'm sure that you'll be able to sell them at a hefty profit!

$425??? It's crazy!!! My jeans are more cool than that , just adding some spots of oil color on my very old poor jeans during my work! I have also some shirts full of oil (an others) spots!
wait... if my jeans and shirts are cool this means that I'm cool, wow, it's cool! :D

Yes @silviabeneforti you are cool but your cool is the REAL cool!

Why not sell it? Ripped jeans are in demand. Next to this girl guy in dirty pants will look harmonious.

Yes a perfect couple!

The worst becomes the best. The world is going crazy, man!

Woe those who say bad is good and good is bad!

Couple of What's?

Her with the rips and him with the mud!

Where do I order? Do you accept STEEM?

Hey, I'd sell it to you but since you're out of the shadows I know for sure that you've got more than enough dirt, twigs and dust. You could actually be one of my suppliers!

Fake mud!? This was funny! In Croatia they overdo with tattered and cut pattern at the moment.

Not much different than this.

Yes I really should make the payments a bit at a time but I wait till near the end of the month and it takes me hours!!!! This month will be my record for giveaways by far!

I like that you care. It would be handy to have an app for sending stuff to multiple people though. Someone is bound to get rich by it.

The world is really mad quite a time ago.

Nice guide. You have a future in the fashion blogging! :D

Yes thanks that would be fun!

Positively brilliant! All you need now is a snowflake mailing list...

Yes I'll have to get me one of those!

Gonna cost you $19.95

That's a steal!

To be honest, I'm just scratching my head here... having gotten past the initial "This is a joke, right? Right?" reaction.

Maybe I'm just old, or maybe it's a generational thing... but what saddens me here is that we're reaching this point where it seems like more and more people need to "manufacture" reality, because we've gotten so far removed from actually having and living it. People are less and less "out there" getting dirty, so they spend $400 on creating the manufactured reality that they have that in their life. Wait... what?

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, and it's no more than "silly fashion." Beats me. But I'm still scratching my head...

Thank you @kus-knee, for your kindness, and the recognition!

I'm with you on this one. I don't think we'll ever stop scratching!

Excellent post dear friend @ kus-knee, these products come well in Argentina, the powder soap is very expensive, it is impossible to buy, with these products will de-mud the dirt. Well thought, thank you very much for sharing

Argentina, I didn't know. I wold love to visit one day! Thanks for having a look!

You have to visit my country you will love it, we have a lot of diversity for all tastes, mountains, lakes, jungles, sea, rivers and beaches, glasiares, jungle and waterfalls, very good meals, people are very helpful, and if you come and You come to my province of Corrientes, we are going to welcome you. have a beautiful day

Thanks man. I have some friends from Argentina and from what I've seen of it wow!

I literally just made my jeans dirty like that, I go through 1-2 pairs a month and just got a new (used from the flea market) pair this weekend. I love seeing these posers trying to be farm fresh when they never placed their expensive ass jeans on dirt ever.

The fashion world can be very strange!

Hahaha, that is tooo funny.. :)
Thanks..

Thanks! Hey why don't you go to your profile and upload an avatar? it will look good beside your cool user name @picture-n-poems!

I haven't figured have to do that yet... :) But would like one...

Very nice! Well done @picture-n-poems!

Thanks... Busy helped.. :)

I don't get the ripped and soiled clothes phenomenon. Get some new jeans and come and help me in the garden, you'll get hat dirty look real fast and do something constructive too!

You're right about that!

If I only knew filthy old work clothes were so valuable, I'd have kept all my acid stained and "hole-y" clothes for the rich!

Fun article @kus-knee! Who'd have thunk it..?

Thanks so much for the look and the comment!

Yw, and thanks for the laugh!

Excellent post! I like your work My friend

I appreciated you saying so. Thanks!

Nice post I still don't understand why they would be charging so much for a pair of jeans with mud lol

Thanks for having a look! You should go to settings in your back office and upload an avatar so it will show up beside your name. @happyhousewife!

Thanks @kus-knee

It is a sure sign of getting old, but I say it daily: The world is indeed off its rocker! The funny part is I went to the link and the "Americana" jeans are "Made in Portugal"! You don't even get real American mud LOL

That is funny about where they are made!

After reading this post, Reminded me of a song: The World Has Turned And Left Me Here

Your right about the song!

Yup, Weezer always hits the spot on my inner teenage angst.
