Look, Up In The Sky, Real Fake News

Here is a short update if you have not been following the story regarding Jussie Smollett, the TV actor who earlier this month was a victim of a hate crime when he alleged that he was attacked by white Trump supporter wearing MAGA hats, shouting racist and homophobic slurs while he was being beaten. Obviously CNN jumped on the story because the narrative is politically and ideologically convenient to their corporate owners, because orange man bad. Just the mention on white men and MAGA hats completely destroys the mainstream media's ability for critical analysis or further investigation.

The police took this pretty seriously and investigated the assault, they eventually caught the guys responsible, turns out they were two black Nigerians brothers, one of whom is Jussie's personal trainer and was an extra on Empire. Things got even more interesting when the Chicago police arrested the brothers, and their testimony "shifted the trajectory of the investigation". Looks like the police are now investigating Smollett for hiring the two brothers and paying them to stage the hoax hate crime. As the story unraveled eventually CNN had no choice but to make a complete 360 on their narrative and finally threw racial hate crime victim under the truth bus. Yet, somehow still manage to blame Trump and his supporters for this happening.

If you have been on the fence for the last say three years now, regarding weather MSN is making a constant effort to push fake news, here is another classic example from the"trusted name in news" CNN. Let's just define what exactly fake news is to begin with, "fake news is written and published usually with the intent to mislead in order to damage an agency, entity, or person, often using sensationalist, dishonest, or outright fabricated headlines to increase readership". It's also done when the truth is obscured, where a political position or bias opinion regarding the news story is pushed.

This is something that media agencies have been doing regardless of the public's ability to find the actual truth to the story with a simple few clicks. CNN will publish a story that supports their political narrative, without doing due diligence in checking if the allegation are true or not, they just don't care any more because the sole purpose is profit by way of readership through views and clicks. They don't even feel the need to offer an apology anymore, and the masses just believe the original story that gets 48 straight news coverage, not the correction that get's published on their website once.
