A lot of people tend to think that other animals are better than humans. And while that might be true in various ways, this shows that you don't have to be a human to be a tosser. Poor kid!

This kid is poor indeed, agree. Yet his relatives can't sell him into slavery among many other terrible things humans in many places tend to to do to their children.

Oh yes, humans are capable of committing horrendous acts of injustice and violence against each other and against other animals. Not to mention destroying the very ecosystem that we all depend on for survival. So I'm not excusing our species in any way. I just don't think we should romanticise other species either. As Darwin said, the difference between humans and other animals is "one of degree and not of kind".
