Live, Laugh, Love

As a young man I always told far fetched stories. As a matter of fact I was know affectionately as Raymond Tales by my parents. My father was a great man. He was someone I could only strive to be. I decided to do things slightly differently but it was completely due to his last words of advice. I love to tell the stories I remember of my Pop. He passed when I was 19 and not a day goes by that I do not think of him and hold him close. His life was anything that but boring. He was a hard worker who understood early on that being a smart worker was just as important. But instead of me rambling on let get to the stories. :)

The earliest story I can remember about my dad was with a family friend and me and my brothers. I have two brothers you will meet them later. We went tubing on a lake. We were all suited up with vests the kids but the adults at that time were like we got this...So my old man carried a lot of cash in his pockets. Especially when he was on vacation so that way he had enough scratch to take care of whatever we wanted or needed. Cards weren't nearly as popular back then. So as it turns out we go tubing. So we are cruising along and he starts to lose his shorts. So he starts waving is arms to tell his friend to slow down and it looked like he was saying to go faster. No kidding, like a scene from a movie. So his friend Bob Sweeny (who'd be known as Sweeny, Sweeny's Weeny, etc.) guns it. He hits throttle and this little lake boat took off in a huh, huh, hurry. So Pop eventually loses it and just eats the water. His shorts come off in the water. He has to climb back on the boat with no drawers on. So he moons the entire lake. Then quickly realizes that all of his money is in those shorts so my oldest brother dives in to locate them. Lucky for everyone in the Poconos he came back with the shorts.
