Listen, most of us are good compassionate people the majority of the time. However, from time to time stuff happens or people do things that just make you share your head and say - Seriously?
What Grinds Your Gears?
Here are a some things that make me through up my hands and exasperate.......Seriously?!
Saw in the news last week a women was arrested and had her children taken away by authorities because she left her 8 and 9 year old children home alone for 30 min so she could run to the store to pickup their dinner.
Do I agree with her choice, not really. Do I think it’s ridiculous she got arrested and her kids taken away for it, yes! The woman had no prior history of arrests or abuse and was FEEDING her children.
Extreme, much?
However, I see people bring their babies with them to a bar.
Seriously, you have a baby. In a bar! Somehow that’s ok?
This next one is probably just a pet peeve of mine....
Perfectly healthy people taking the elevator down ONE floor. Seriously? Can we really be that lazy?
Then again, there’s plethora of reasons why Americans become more obese each year. Maybe this on the list?
What else...
When someone writes positive comments on a steemit post, but doesn’t upvote it. Seriously?
That’s like having your boss tell you great job on that project, you deserve a day off. AND then not giving you a day off!
So tell me.....
I have several as well:
People on escalators who block others behind them from walking down the "steps." If you want to be lazy and ride down, move aside to the right so that those on the left can walk down as the escalator moves. There's nothing worse than missing your train by 1 minute and having to wait an hour for the next train because a gaggle of self-absorbed phone tappers clogged up the aisle.
Clothing store employees who won't leave you alone while you're shopping. They pounce on you within seconds of you entering the shop and make little comments (ooh, that would like good on you, can I get you a room, let me find you your size, if you buy two you'll get the third item at 50% off, blah, blah) which end up distracting you from the mental list you might be carrying in your head. Plus, it's just annoying to shop while you're being watched.
People who write in CAPS online, in email, on phone text seem to be unaware that caps indicate shouting. I pointed this out to a poster the other day and was hammered with obscenities and crazy off-the-wall comments. He was positively enraged and I had to shake my head at how angry he became but then realized I was at fault for having commented on his conspiracy theory blog post in the first place.

Yeah...there used to be a common courtesy of people staying to the right on escalators so others could pass. No one seems to teach their children this stuff so people are ignorant to these courtesies.
I specifically use the caps for when I WANT A POINT TO BE HEARD. That's the whole point of it....not for the whole email...LOL.
