My Battle With Frontier: A Tale Of Two Agents

Hey guys, @shayne again.

Remember how I've been struggling with the worst Internet service of my life?

Well, I just spent about an hour dealing with Frontier customer service in their chatbox.

I figured -- Hey, they're recording me. Why don't I record them? And then post it on Steemit so my time isn't completely wasted :D

So here it is.

Agent 1: Jalisa

I used to work in call service for Amazon.

I hated it.

And I could tell right away that "Jalisa" hated it, too.

She was the type that will use copy and paste scripts more often than she's supposed to for two reasons:

  1. She wants to do the least amount of work as possible.
  2. She gags at the notion of having an authentic interaction with a fellow human being.

Here's our chat:

I knew the moment she responded with

yes

that this chick was going to try to kick me off the line.

Oh, and can I just say that I hate the non-apology that they make service agents give of

"Oooh, I'm sorry you feel that way :((("

is such CRAP.

Like -- Bitch, I don't just "feel" that way out of nowhere: The service I paid for isn't working.

When she told me to unplug the modem, I was like OOOOOHHHHH NO YOU DON'T.

And, of course, when I came back, the chat did not just reconnect, and she was long gone.

Then I had to reset the modem because it disconnected

And I came back to find this.

Yeah...

She totally just made me kick myself off and ended the chat lol

Agent 2. David

I started taking screen caps of the last chat right away, because I knew it'd be good content for a Steemit post.

But I got back on because I still needed some answers about my connection.

When I reset the chat and got a new agent, it was David.

Here's how that went:

My MAN!!

He crushed it so hard that I didn't even mind the sales pitch.

So far, I've reset the modem, and the connection has not had any problems.

Moral of the story

If you're on Frontier chat, ask for David.

Frontier is probably the worst ISP I've ever dealt with by far. Seems like he's referring to wifi channels while troubleshooting a direct connection? @_@

Really a bitch the first one you spoke to. Maybe you should warn your operator of his behavior. Anyway happy for you that your connection problem is solved.

Dude, I don't know which HELL would be worse. If you had to take calls as a Service Rep forever, or be on call with a Service Rep forever?
