One of the most common questions we are asked is whether Mexico is as dangerous as the news would have you believe. When we arrived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, it was clear right away that the roads are much rougher and bumpier than other places we've been. The cobblestone streets will rattle your teeth out. And the steep hills are a little scary to drive, especially at night.
But are the streets in PV really that dangerous? As we were explaining, we caught something pretty crazy on video.

When we first got to Puerto Vallarta we were considering getting a gym membership for a couple of weeks because it's been a while since we've worked out. As it turns out, it's a pretty significant hike to get back to our Airbnb every day. Combine that with all the walking we're doing and it's plenty of exercise for us!
Since we've been here for about a week after this happened, I can now see why the guy did that right here. Most of PV's roads are rough cobblestone and this is one of the few that are paved.

That was the last thing we were expecting while making a video about the scary streets! We've come close to kissing the concrete a few times, but have yet to get that on video. We hope to keep it that way :)
