The bloody kids have been at the bread again!

My wife bought a loaf of fresh baked bread at the market yesterday. It was perfect for a couple of slices of toast this morning.

But when I went to cut the bread this morning, this is what I found.

Someone had eaten all the bread inside and left the crust!

Does this look familiar to anyone?

Now, there are only two of us living in my house, and since I know it wasn’t me that did this, that just leaves one suspect. Yes, I’m looking at you @skymaiden!

It was just as well the other half of the loaf was still intact, otherwise I’d have to have plain old normal everyday toast for breakfast.

My kids used to do this all the time! I had wished they would learn to eat the crusts! Finally, as the got older I got to have my bread whole. Then we got Pelibuey sheep for the homestead. The little beggars learned to open the back door and come in and ate the fresh bread cooling on the counter. Now, we have no more Pelibuey and I get my bread whole for my toast once more!

Ya for whole toast! ;-)

If it were a bag of broccoli, no one would have touched it. Lock up the bread. Grain is a valuable commodity.

It wasn't me, honest. It was my sisters.... all of them were at it, honest. Cross my heart and hope to eat crusts!

They wouldn't have left you any crusts to eat anyway.
What a change sliced bread has made to kids appetites.

My daughter used to hollow out a baguette as we were shopping when she was little. The rest of the family still struggles to slice bread properly

Don't get me started on slicing the bread! I've seen neater cuts made with a chainsaw!
