So, this one has been bugging me. There’s a bitcoin logo that’s been floating under Wikimedia Commons since March of 2014. It has very literally spread across every corner of the internet since then. You've probably seen and shared it thousands of times.
A mysterious user named "Bitboy" first uploaded this logo. It must have been pretty exciting. After all, this was (and continues to be) the official icon of blockchain's most prolific superhero. But, behind it's golden glory lies the baggage of a dark and dirty secret. This logo has a crack in it. Take a look...

Yes. I am very passionate about vector line work. Why? Because Bitcoin deserves better than this! So, without further ado I would like to introduce the new and improved Bitcoin logo...

Embrace it, share it, adopt it. Is there such a thing as a illustration hardfork? For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to suggest a new edit to the Bitcoin wikimedia page, so I uploaded a new version to Wikimedia titled "Bitcoin-clean".

This was probably a fragment left when trying to get the bumps in the B proportioned correctly.
Its a shame that steemit doesn't support svg. It would be awesome to imbed svg images inline with the text so they are immortalized on the blockchain too.
