What the World Needs to Know About Futsal

Futsal does not belong to FIFA it belongs to AMF. In the US it does not belong to the US Soccer Federation and in Canada it does not belong to the Canada Soccer Association. All the clubs and organizations who are using the name futsal are just scamming people. They are not teaching futsal, they are teaching FIFA 5v5, that is not futsal. There is not a US national futsal team for either men or women under the US Soccer Federation or the Canada Soccer Association.

The national team under the US Youth Futsal Association is just recreational. It’s another pay to play model but it’s not the national team. You do not play for the true national team if you play for those clubs. You are just traveling overseas just like any other club would travel overseas to play a friendly but with the fantasy that you are the national team when you are not. Remember that everyone who is traveling with those fake national teams are paying the money to travel overseas. If you are the national team why are you paying to travel? You should only pay for tryouts but after you make the team everything should be free.

used to think that being educated helped a little bit but it seems like here that’s not the case because who would pay money to play for the national team? Now we have been sending cease and desist letters to all of the clubs using the name futsal. You can market 5v5 but you are not futsal. Futsal in Canada is under Canadian National Futsal Association and in the US it’s under USA Futsal Federation. Both are governed by AMF. You can ask the US Soccer Federation, Canada Soccer Association or FIFA, if this is not the right information they can respond.
