Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy, Dartmouth professor, said that each social order had a calendar remnant now. Tribes leave us community celebrations, Greece leaves us educatinal schedules, Empires leave us work and business schedules, and Israel leaves us ecclesiastical calendars, or which the life of Christ and our response (Church Year) is the eternal calendar.
I've started to add the four horses in the Season After Pentecost. Ordinary Time, it's also called. Season of the Church it's salso called.
One group, Missouri Synod Lutherans has Apostles' Tide (White horse of Gospel Proclamation), Martyrs' Tide (Red horse of conflict), Angels' Tied (Black horse of bread/support/Jacob--in Revelation, pastors are called angels), and End Times/Advent (Green horse of Levi, guardians).
That's the half.
The new whole layer takes Jesus' words in Luke 4, 'fulfilled in your ears', of the announcement of Jubilee, and responds with a Jordan 49-book Bible, literarily conceived, wriitten across the celebration of Resurrection to Resurrection, liturgically. Search '7x7 retuned PergamosCoram'. For Jordan's 49, see 'Rethinking the Order of the Old Testament' @ Biblical Horizons. The Twelve is one book, Kings one, Samuael one, Jeremiah and Lamentations, and Ezra and Nehemiah are added to make Greater Chronicles.
Search 'Sing a New Era TSOCHI The Symphony Of Comprehensive History Interactive' for the art form of the next era. This uses the liturgical transformation process to produce 12 or so imperative stems that lead to oath-formed small (profitable) enthusiastic groups, which, again, Rosenstock says are the key to the next era, as Israel without exclusion became The Church, and Empires withou slavery became the nation-state.
