When the dream of flying cars will come true ?

in futurism •  7 years ago

Is it really possible to achieve the dream?

The cars were considered science fiction from the moment they understood their work and their appearance in art. The cars that were able to fly above our heads were out of reach in the past, but now it is different as more logical models of flying cars are being flown into the real world. So let's take a tour around the evolution of aircraft starting with the oldest versions.

 FLYING CAR HYBRIDS

These cars - the first versions of which are special - look more like a winged car than an airplane, and you can notice the increasing elegance of these cars over time.

1917: Curtiss Autoplane

  1937: Waterman Aerobile

  1947: ConVairCar Model 118

  1966: Aero-Car

  1971: AVE Mizar

  2009: Terrafugia Transition

  2014: Aeromobil 3.0 (AeroMobil 3.0)

  2017: Aeromobil 4.0 (AeroMobil 4.0)

 HELI CARS

Heli cars are mainly helicopters that have made their modern and future models of sustainable materials and operated by artificial intelligence software.

1923: Pitcairn PCA-2

1936: Autogiro Company of America AC-35

1965: Wagner Aerocar

2012: PAL-V (PAL-V)

 HOVER BIKES

It looks like a large unmanned aircraft with a saddle like a bike. These vehicles can provide an important alternative to the large vehicles that many design, and this type of aircraft may turn into podcasters as in Star Wars, but in the real world.

1958: Curtiss-Wright VZ-7

1959: Chrysler VZ-6

1962: Piasecki VZ-8 Airgeep

2008: Aeroflex Hover Bike

2017: Kitty Hawk Flyer

TURBINE-POWERED CRAFT

These exotic aircraft are very similar to UFOs in old films, but they have evolved over time to look like a classic aircraft.

1962: Moller XM-2

1989: Moller M200X

  1990: Sky Commuter

2003: Moller M400 Sky-car

2009: Urban Aeronautics X-Hawk

Year 2021: Terrafugia TF-X.

With the increasing number of inventors and companies looking to produce aircraft, the question arises about the possibility of making these vehicles. In fact, the manufacture of flying cars is already possible. Many of the flying cars are ready to work, but the real question is how effective they are to use them on the ground. The presence of technology is not enough, but it should also be practical.

The plane is ready, are we ready for it?
