Alphabet Rilis Google Glass Enterprise Edition

The Inquirer reported, Alphabet, Google's parent company, launched Google Glass Enterprise Edition, earlier this week. Instead of being made for the general consumer, Google has created this smart-eyed sunglasses for the industrial sector, especially the workers in the manufacturing industry.

Google Glass Enterprise Edition is already used in more than 50 companies in the United States. Among them, namely Boeing, Volkswagen, DHL, Shutter Healt, and Agco.

The Inquirer's technology news page says that Google Glass Enterprise Edition uses augmented reality technology. This technology facilitates the workers by displaying the instruction manual in the form of animation on the glass. According to Alphabet, this way can improve productivity and work efficiency.

"They can still access the information even though their hands are busy," said Jay Kothari, head of the Google Glass project. He explains, in the past two years, Alphabet has worked with dozens of software development companies and other business solutions for Google Glass.

The Inquirer's technology news page also mentions that Google Glass Enterprise Edition is also undergoing design changes. At first, Google Glass just shaped the frame with a small panel in the right eye. Google Glass looks like a protective goggle, but with a small panel.

Camera resolution was enlarged from the original 5 megapixel only to 8 megapixels. The red indicator light will also light up when Google Glass shoots the video.

With this indicator on, the potential for silent shooting can be minimized.
