SteelSeries announces the availability of their new GameDAC as well as updates of its award-winning Arctis line of headsets.

The GameDAC boasts being only ESS Sabre DAC on the market. Moreover, it is now compatible with all headphones and gaming headsets.

Additionally, upgrades hit the Arctis 3, 5, and 7 headsets. Now you will find memory foam earpads, extended bass and DTS updates.

SteelSeries GameDAC

SteelSeries GameDAC

The SteelSeries GameDAC is an audiophile-grade, dedicated high-fidelity USB DAC (digital to analogue converter) and amplifier. Moreover, it has been designed especially for gamers.

The GameDAC bypasses the generally low fidelity, poor quality DACs found in typical consoles and PCs. Combined with the flagship Arctis Pro headset, the GameDAC was a part of gaming’s first complete high-fidelity audio system. However, now you can use them with any audiophile headphones, or any other gaming headset.

The GameDAC is powered by the legendary ESS Sabre DAC and amplifier with unsurpassed audio quality with 121dB of dynamic range and -115dB Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise. Having bragging rights to being "gaming’s certified first Hi-Res Audio DAC" you can expect the 96 kHz / 24-bit audio being on point. Furthermore, DTS Headphone:X 2.0 support creates pin-point accurate positional cues when gaming.

Finally, to make things even easier, the GameDAC also features an OLED screen. The screen enables easy access to settings and controls without the use of additional software.

The New Arctis 3, 5 and 7

SteelSeries Arctis 7

The new Arctis 3, 5 and 7 retain the Discord-certified ClearCast microphone, low-distortion S1 speaker drivers, and ski-goggle headband design and exclusive AirWeave earcups. However, the latest release brings aesthetic changes as well as performance upgrades.

Firstly, all new models feature added memory foam, and the headband on the Arctis 7 has been redesigned to come more in line with that of the Arctis Pro for an improved fit.

The new Arctis 5 and Arctis 7 will receive several performance upgrades. The soundscape has been updated to support an extended bass response, and both get an upgrade to DTS Headphone: X v2.0. Existing customers with the original Arctis 5 and Arctis 7 will also receive the performance upgrades through SteelSeries Engine.

Price and availability

The GameDAC is available now globally for €149.99 at SteelSeries.com.

The new Arctis 3, 5 and 7 are now available for €99.99, €129.99 and €179.99, respectively. For more information about the complete line of SteelSeries Arctis headsets, visit https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis.
