Studying the scriptures: What really counts is that the new creation has come, Galatians 6:15

The essence of the doctrine of the Kingdom of God is the new man, that is why the Apostle Paul in the letter to the Galatians reminds us that those who follow Jesus are free from the old Law: "Circumcision and uncircumcision don't mean anything. What really counts is that the new creation has come.", Galatians 6:15.
Jesus asks us to take a step, to pass from the slavery of the law to the freedom of the spirit, external rites no longer count, such as rites on purity and impurity, or circumcision; what counts is the love that you have for each other as brothers: "Christ has set us free to enjoy our freedom. So remain strong in the faith. Don't let the chains of slavery hold you again.
Here is what I, Paul, say to you. Don't let yourselves be circumcised. If you do, Christ won't be of any value to you. I say it again. Every man who lets himself be circumcised must obey the whole law. Some of you are trying to be made right with God by obeying the law. You have been separated from Christ. You have fallen away from God's grace.
But we long to be made completely holy because of our faith in Christ. Through the Holy Spirit we wait for this in hope. Circumcision and uncircumcision aren't worth anything to those who believe in Christ Jesus. The only thing that really counts is faith that shows itself through love." Galatians 5:1-6

The scriptures are clear, the new man Paul speaks of is the man born of water and the spirit, he is the man who achieves conformity to God and for this conformity receives the name "children of God": "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of the water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ´You must be born again´", John 3:5-7.
Only the new creation can fulfill the commandment of love; therefore, the closer we come to this new man through works of mercy, the closer we will be to eternal life.
