Proton Packed Meal to Finish Off a Great Cycle Day!

Having protein at the end of the day always leaves me feeling supercharged the next morning!!

As you may have seen today is an official carb cycle day for me which means all kinds of delicious foods get added to my diet.

I can never pass up a good steak and pair it with some rice or potatoes and I'm game!

These were very lean cuts of steak which is important because I like to keep my fat low on carb cycle days. Having an excess of carbs AND fat is exponentially bad for your health!! It's 1 or the other!


Instructions for this meal:

  1. Heat a skillet with butter or oil
  2. Add steaks and season with black pepper, malabar seasoning and montreal steak seasoning
  3. Cook on each side for about 2 minutes (depending on the size of the cut)
  4. Add chopped onions and garlic after cooking on each side
  5. Add soy sauce
  6. Cook for 1 minute until the onions and garlic get a little dark
  7. Plate the steaks
  8. Cook up some rice either on the stove or in a rice cooker
  9. Optionally add some mozzarella cheese on top for some added flavor
  10. Sprinkle a little salt on top and you're good to go!!
