Bethesda took all the further fate of the Fallout series by itself, so the creators of the original Fallout have to get out. On December 6, Obsidian, which presented us with Fallout: New Vegas announced its new game, The Outer Worlds, at The Game Awards. In addition, this, according to the developers, is all the same, only in space.

The Outer Worlds – Official Announcement Trailer

The Outer Worlds is a first-person single-player action game with strong RPG elements. In the presented trailer "Obsidian" showed the world of the future, in which humanity settled on many planets, but fell under the power of corporations. Corporations, and indeed the whole world, are served with a great deal of irony and satire, and the planet on which the main character lands is reminiscent of both the Wild West and good old science fiction.

All this causes persistent associations with Borderlands, although Odsidian strongly emphasizes the idea that this is, first and foremost, Fallout: New Vegas in space. Obviously, we are talking about wagering, advanced pumping and the ability to solve problems in different ways (in the Borderlands, as you remember, there was only one-way).

The release of The Outer Worlds is scheduled for 2019. Despite the fact that Microsoft bought Obsidian this year, the game will not be exclusive and will be released on both the Xbox and PS4 and PC.
