The producer of Jump Force , the fighting video game starring some of the most famous characters in the manga world that was presented in the past E3 2018 , has explained why Light and Ryuk of Death Note will not be playable characters in this fight title of Spike Chunsoft and Bandai Namco , although he has made it clear that both will have a relevant weight in the history of his campaign mode.

"Ryuk of Death Note is not a playable character because if you write a name on the Death Note, that person dies, right? It would be too powerful," said Koji Nakajima . "The Jump Force story tells how the real world and the world of Jump are merging for unknown reasons, and the heroes must prevent this from happening." The Death Note characters? "They are relevant in this context, so they will appear in the story," the Japanese creative has merely said.

With characters from One Piece, Dragon Ball and Naruto already confirmed, Nakajima has emphasized that not all the characters "are apt to fight, but they could be part of the story". In this sense, he continues, when choosing the team of fighters the team after Jump Force takes into account the popularity of the heroes and villains of the manga world.

"We want to choose characters that are recognizable all over the world, both in Japan and in the West, and we also consider whether or not these characters are fit to fight, and if they would get involved in fights in their respective series," adds Nakajima. Recently our colleague Toni Piedrabuena had the opportunity to try the video game and these are his first impressions of Jump Force .
