With over a million dollar pledged within the first 36 hours of its kickstarter campaign, it can be said that the game attracted a lot of attention mainly because of the trust to the team working on the game, composted of people who have worked on the games like: , and features that the game promises, Many of which are unique and haven't been in any other MMORPGs.
Node System - Ashes of Creation is a unique take on the MMO experience. Our world structure is dynamic and built to react to the actions of our players. Cities will rise and fall, their populations based on the history of the world as the players create it. Quests will unlock as these populations gather, their needs grow, and secrets are unlocked.
Sieges - Throughout Ashes of Creation, the player has an opportunity to participate in massively multiplayer siege warfare. Since castles are likely the world’s most limited resource, it will be a task to secure and hold them. Involving hundreds of players on a single battlefield, our sieges will employ many moving parts and intricate design features.
Caravans - Our caravan system in Ashes of Creation revolves around opportunity and risk. Caravans facilitate the transfer of goods for players wishing to turn a profit. Initiating a caravan from one city to another will create a caravan that players will need to defend while it moves along its route to the selected destination.
Ashes of creation will be a subscription based model and its alpha test is scheduled to launch on 2018.
P.S. The game also have a referral program (first of its kind) where you can receive 15% of your referrer's purchases as a Intrepid Bucks which can used to reduce subscription cost to at most $0 and also to buy items in the games cosmetic shop.

I'm soo afraid that this will end-up as the many MMOs of the past years.
I don't really think the market is looking for a large-scale MMO right now, people are more in the looks for games that they can finish quickly - tops of 30 minutes.
Of course there will be a portion of people who want a MMO, but not quite large as people think I'm afraid.

I think the node system of this game which makes the world dynamic will bring a lot of people back into the MMORPG genre.

I hope the game is successfull, I really do, but I think most people these days don't want to input that much time into a single game.
