Australia pacer Jackson Bird has been dropped from Test squad against South Africa due to hamstring injuries. The other pacer, who has been included in the squad, is in Chad Sears

Bird has suffered hamstring injuries during bowling in a domestic match in Brisbane last week. It is expected that he will have to rest in the next three weeks. As a result, the opportunity for playing in the Sire's national team for the first time has been created. Australian captain Steve Smith said, "This is a disappointment for Jackson, but at the same time there is a great opportunity for Chad. They are almost the same type of bowler. They have great SIM. He had got this opportunity to prove himself as a Chad in Shield cricket for the last two years.

Sears was the highest wicket-taker of Sheffield Shield with 62 wickets in last season. Smith also said that it is really difficult to deal with him. Because he does not make a short ball, because of which he has problems playing. I feel fortunate to get him in the team.
Sire's teammate Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and Joey Richardson will join the squad in the four-match Test series starting on March 1.
