HBO this week announced season 7 of Game of Thrones will return later than expected, and it’ll be shorter, too. Production of the seven-episode seventh season will begin later this summer, with an expected debut currently slated for summer 2017. Game of Thrones typically debuts in April, which means fans will have to wait a little longer than usual.
