A new World of Final Fantasy will be released in Japan in 2017. The novelty was confirmed in the latest edition of Famitsu magazine (via Gematsu), whose publication reveals that the name of the game is World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo and will be released exclusively for iOS and Android devices.
The sequel will be more casual than the original game, with players traveling around the world of Valgallan. It will be possible to gather a total of six small, medium four and two large characters. The game will have support for cooperative mode and the original characters of the first World of Final Fantasy.
Square Enix has not yet confirmed when and if World of Final Fantasy: Meli-Melo will arrive in the West.
