Building bots
We've started working on part ideas for the STEEMBots on Sunday, and now with a little help from my sons I've been able to conceptualize the first few bots that could be created. Each bots body, arms, legs (when we have a few modeled), and heads will be awarded to the users based on their posts and these should represent just a small sampling of what might be generated.

Eye / Head Concepts
Opinion
I'm not very keen on the look of the arms. The bodies are good, and the eyes are.."okay" but I think I like the idea of "hidden tools" more than the arms. Something more like an Astro-Mech Droid or the Batteries not Included style "assimilate and imitate"
I'm also concerned that the bodies that have been made aren't going to work the way I was hoping. Seamus, did a good job modeling them and Liam followed my suggestion for arms well enough I'm just not sure yet.
As far as the legs and locomotion options are concerned we will need to figure out how to make them feel more "connected" to the rest of the designs. Still this is early days, hopefully by the end of the week we'll have a proper reveal for the project.
About
STEEMBots is (or will be) a free to play Monster Rancher inspired bot building game built around the STEEM blockchain and ecosystem. If you want to find out more about the project or how you can help check out our fundition page here. We are looking to fund it on a monthly basis and even just a dollar a month will go a long way to making the game a reality.
They look so cute :D
Have you animated them yet? Or at least give them bones?

Not yet. Boning them is going to be a bit different than I'm used to. In game each body part will have its own set of animations (at least I think that's how it will work). So the process isn't as cut and dry as it is with typical models.
Also I've decided to scrap some of the original plans for the bots for a more unified look. I'm going to work on it today and probably make a post later.
