Video devlogs? Yay or Nay?

in gamedev •  7 years ago

Hello steemers!

To share with you guys and gals what we are doing for our current project, Undermine, we usually post to our TIGSource devlog, but now we want to try something a bit different, and after some brainstorming, we decided we wanted to explore doing video devlogs and publish them on YouTube.

We just published the first one, where we talk a bit about the changes to the games procedural generation logic and the rationale behind them. Here you can take a look:

Do any of you use video devlogs? What other promotion methods do you use to share your development process?

As always, feedback on both the format and the game itself is welcome (and very appreciated!).

Thanks and see you all around!
