that's a beautyfull city there... how was it to live in such an area ? Do you have good or bad memories of it ?
I got what the ambiance was from the article, but i didn't get how was life around that despite that work like environment. Was it also miserable in term of freedom or quality of life ? it seems like the campus was pretty clean and all, but appearances never speak the truth.

Gamedev city... There might have been so much artist too... I wish i knew a real place or live near a place
/ city filled with artist so i could exchange a lot of ideas and all too.

i didn't live there (commuted)
an apartment in that part of town is somewhere around 1.2 million usd. i have both good and bad memories. bad memories mostly from failed projects.
but i like the atmosphere. everybody's a gamedev. i like the restaurants, the pubs, coffee shops. everywhere you go some dude behind you is talking about games. it's a great place to be if you're indie or have creative freedom. less so if you're slaving away under fucked up management.

Hi roundbeargames,

Sounds like you are a game developer and enjoy your talent and you get to do it all at home...what more could you want....sounds like a great work situation.

keep on gaming.

thanks man. i love it. even tho i'm making close to zero dollars 😃

Why you are not making any money now? If you keep doing what you love do, money will follow.

How did you learn to speak and write English so well? Just curious. I am Korean- American living in U.S.

well most indiegames don't make money at all. i'm living off my savings right now. and maybe a few sbd on steemit (which is close to nothing). hopefully soon enough money will follow.
i'm just a korean living in seoul. i spent a few years in taiwan as a kid and i went to an american school. on steemit i speak eng instead of korean because i wanna reach more people. but usually with most of my friends i speak korean.

Yo! Intresting to see you full body like that on that pic. Everything always looks so different from different angle of a camera lens. I just thought that did you already check out gamers united? You can use Discord in South-korea right? You could easily grab a few extra votes or followers from there.

😃 ok i didn't think that'd be interesting but yea photos usually look quite different every time! yes i've seen gamersunited as well as their discord channel. for now i'm just adding the tag every once in awhile.

hello friend, they look nice the office I hope to be able to go some until Korea, greetings happy afternoon honey

usually korea is not really a place people talk about visiting. but if you're ever here just lemme know! have a great weekend.

Hello friend, you see that you love game developers and enjoy your work, successes and blessings

hello friend. yes i love what i'm doing right now. i just hope one of these projects will turn out to be an awesome game in the future. and i wish you success as well.

Excellent work developing videogames in Gamedev @roundbeargames

thanks! a lot more work is ahead 👍

This is the most personal post I read from you. I mean.... it's not about Choi-bot. I didn't learn much programing. It gets confusing. The only game I ever made was a version similar to pong.

If I would time I would think of making useful apps or "skills." Maybe I "waste" time on Steemit following writing competitions etc...

My friend who are indie programmers in Seoul compete for contracts for government like libraries and schools. Boring work but high pay. Gaming is a lot more creative. Now you can mix the story and art into the game.

i haven't talked about my personal life for awhile. maybe i'll do more from now.
i feel like most jobs in seoul make people miserable. maybe all of them. i did have a decent paying job in a cubicle. somewhere along the line i got so fed up i didn't wanna work for any organization anymore, ever.
thanks for stopping by. btw if you can make pong you're already a programmer!

Oh I have a long way to go. I'm a teacher for kids in public school. Better than a cubical... I thought of making educational software but there is so much out there. Actually what I want to do is draw cartoons. I was looking for an easy cartoon maker that works with my samsung android tablet but haven't found one. Oh I'm up at 2am bc of a mosquito. Got to sleep. Bye bro. Thanks

yes it's definitely better than a cubicle! seoul's getting warm again. more mosquitoes coming! but goodnight!

Awesome and lovely post...i love you post dear friend...

thanks i'm happy to hear that

wellcome... Can i be your friend...?

sure thing. stay in touch!

Thank you so much...☺

Great post! May I ask how old are you? I'm so confused because your looks seem to transcend age, I can't tell if you're 20 or 30 on that pic haha.

lol ok i'm 33 right now

I'm 20 haha! I honestly could have never guessed!

oh man being young is so awesome! i'm not like 50 or anything so i'm still young. but being 20 is completely different. you have so much more potential! do whatever the fuck you want! 👍
a lotta times i wish i started making indie games at 20.

such an amazing photography..... wonderful article......love your article 👌👍@roundbeargames upvote indeed..... nice to meet you ☺✋

thanks! my wife took that photo. she used to work in advertising. i guess she knows her angles? 😃
