Game of Thrones came to its end, and throughout these 8 seasons composed of 73 episodes, extremely interesting and charismatic characters made us hate and love them, for a moment we supported them and at another time we wanted them to lose. Many of them died, but still left a mark on the viewer that remained throughout the series. That's why I wanted to make this post as part of my personal entertainment, and say which are my 10 favorite characters in the series.

Sandor Clegane
Usually known as the Hound, he has a past of torments due to the violent, merciless and despotic behavior of his brother, the Mountain, who burned half of his face when he was only a child, and possibly also the cause of the death of his sister and his father. Sandor serves the Lannisters since his brother inherited the rights to his house. From that moment, Sandor awaits the day when he will get his revenge.
Jaime Lannister
The famous Kingslayer, arrogant, amoral and dishonorable, a born fighter, one of the best that existed, knighted possibly by the best warrior of the entire universe of George R. R. Martin, Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. Jaime's personality is marked by his relationship with his sister Cersei. When Tywin, his father, decides that Jaime must marry Lysa Tully, Cersei proposes that he join the Kingsguard. From that moment, Jaime wears the golden armor, although this clearly has not prevented him from occasionally fighting for the cause of the House Lannister.
Arya Stark
Eddard's youngest daughter, jealous of the attention and beauty of her older sister Sansa, decides not to become a Lady but decides to follow her own path. After receiving some lessons from Syrio Forel, Arya witnesses the death of her father, and then starts a travel from one place to another trying to return with her family, meeting on the way to Jaqen H'ghar who finally trains her when she goes to Bravoos, where she becomes one of the most dangerous killers of Westeros.
Petyr Baelish
The enigmatic Littlefinger, heir to a low status family, lived his childhood with the Tully; Catelyn, Lysa and Edmure. He loved Catelyn, but his love was not reciprocated by her, however, Lysa was in love with him, but his father, Hoster Tully, did not allow any of his daughters to marry someone with the status of Petyr Baelish. Since then Baelish went to King's Landing with the intention of becoming one of the most powerful men in Westeros. Without Petyr Baelish there is no game of thrones, it's simple, he is the one who initiates the chaos, the reason why Eddard Stark goes to King's Landing and dies, it is because he convinces Lysa to kill her husband, Jon Arryn, and write a letter to Catelyn accusing the Lannisters. His actions are the trigger for political events from the first episode until the Starks recover Winterfell.
Ramsay Snow
Subsequently legitimized as Bolton, is probably the most cruel and ruthless of the characters in the entire series, hunts people for fun, a sadist, mutilates and tortures people while maintaining a smile on his face. Undoubtedly a formidable villain, with a formidable ending. Although I can not empathize with Ramsay, that's impossible, his character really made things interesting in the north, besides, this cruel and ruthless character is the main responsible for the evolution of Sansa and Theon. Not to mention that it had an excellent ending, the Battle of the Bastards was probably the best battle of the entire series.
Jon Snow
Lord Snow; The Bastard of Winterfell; King Crow; The White Wolf; The Prince that was promised?; The King in the North; or Aegon Targaryen, many nicknames, many titles, several names, but he will always be Jon Snow. During the whole series he was one of my favorite characters, and I would put him in a better position on my list, but the final evolution that the character had in the series did not like me, Jon Snow out of the Night's Watch is like a fish out of the water, since he left the wall became an accessory of Sansa, Daenerys, and finally Tyrion, his will as a character was reduced almost completely, however, I remember the first seasons, where he was always far from the actions and effects of the rest of the characters, in Winterfell he was the bastard who did not eat with the others, while Robb led a war and different political events developed in Westeros he was in the Night's Watch or even beyond the wall with the savages. For almost the entire series, the only one who had a legitimate right to the throne was the one who was furthest from the political scene.
Eddard Stark
Eddard Stark is a highly honorable character, however, he also plays an important role for the story and for the viewer, first because his death causes all the terrible, surprising and epic events that we saw later, and secondly because his ingenuity serves to introduce us in the story, when the series begins we are as naive as him, we think that the protagonist can not die, we believe that everything said by the characters is true, we were sweet summer children, however, with his death the ingenuity of the spectator it's over too.
Tyrion Lannister
The ingenious Tyrion Lannister, is undoubtedly the most surprising character, nobody would expect that the dwarf would become one of the greats, even the best, characters in the series, his mind can do more damage than any sword and his stature would be the best shield. Peter Dinklage probably makes the best performance of the entire series, 7 Emmy nominations winning three times is proof of that. Unfortunately he is another character who pays the consequences for living enough for the bad scripts of the last seasons ruined his character and made him incoherent, and if you think that is not true, I invite you to decide it in a trial by combat.
Robb Stark
The Young Wolf, with the death of his father, Eddard Stark, Robb takes command and becomes the King in the North and although he wins all the battles loses the war because he does not fulfill his compromise to Walder Frey, the disloyalty of his allies and the imprudence of his mother and uncle. Despite being young he managed to lead an army through multiple battles always getting the victory, he put the fearsome Tywin Lannister into trouble and almost defeated him. His youth was his biggest advantage but at the same time his weakness, the same thing happens with his death, he was a character who had everything to be great, but who finally died very quickly, luckily, his death was really one of the best moments of the series.
Tywin Lannister
Finally Tywin Lannister, The Old Lion, possibly the best player of the game of thrones, the exploits he did when was just a young man were immortalized in the song "The Rains of Castamere"; intellectual author of the Red Wedding; Savior of the City; Protector of the Realm and Hand of the King. Since the death of Robert Baratheon, Tywin becomes the most powerful man of Westeros and the invisible occupant of the throne until dies killed by Tyrion. In turn, the death of Tywin precipitates the decline of the Lannister power. His biggest mistake was despised his most intelligent son, Tyrion, if he was not despised him, probably the House Lannister would have managed to defeat any opponent.
